Symphony Women Hear Music in the Round at Wilton

WILTON – Mrs. Richard T. Foster hosted members of the Norwalk Symphony Women’s Association in her ultra-modern home this week. The occasion was the Fall Membership Meeting, a preliminary to the opening concert Oct. 28 at 8p.m. in Norwalk High School.

The Foster’s eight-room revolving home Was designed by Mr. Foster,. an architect with offices in New York. ball-bearing assembly moves the structure around the pivot of a fixed circular staircase. The idea for the construction grew out of the desire to gain full advantage of the landscape. “We hated to give *up one side of the house for the other,” says Mrs. Foster. “We really were seeking an amphitheater view and this certainly provided the answer.”
